Do you know Unlisted segment is 100x bigger than listed market ?? Rather, it remains undisclosed and trading of such shares is done on the over the counter (OTC) market. The buying and selling of these unlisted stocks in the OTC market are done with the help of market makers or dealers. Unlisted segment is becoming popular day by day because of its promising returns to investors. Lot of institutions are also attracted towards the segment as they get good deals at Pre-IPO Stage. The main reason behind is they are investing at the growth stage & taking exit at the time of listing. No of investors investing in Unlisted segment has grown multifold in last 2 years. But, it doesn’t claim that all unlisted shares are good. Some stocks which are fundamentally weak & are non promising must be avoided.
